Couple's Retreat

in Driftwood, TX

4 Days of Nurturing Your Partnership and Visioning the Future Together

We invite you and your partner to take a break together from everyday life so you can be present for each other. By turning off the noise from your phone and the internet*, you will be able to fully listen to your partner and yourself. In the calm and relaxed environment at our retreat cottage, you will clarify your values as a couple and visualize a life you want to create together. You and your partner will then identify the first few steps toward your shared vision.

 

*We strongly encourage you and your partner to leave your laptops at home and keep your phones turned off and put away during your retreat.

 

Day 1: Arrival & Briefing

  • 3 p.m.   Check in at the Wuji House in Driftwood, TX.

  • Meet with Sari, a certified life coach and mindfulness teacher. She will give you an overview of the program and help you settle into your retreat.

 

Day 2: Reality Check & Visioning

  • A.M.    Couple’s Exercise 1: Web of Life

  • Assess the satisfactory level for different areas in your partnership. Explore the ways to improve the areas with low satisfaction.

  • P.M.    Couple’s Exercise 2: Vision BoardCreate a vision for the future and express it on a vision board.

 

 

Day 3: Goal Setting & Action Planning 

  • A.M.    Couple’s Exercise 3: Goal Setting, Resources & Obstacles. Make a SMART (Specific—Measurable—Achievable—Realistic—Timely) goal that will move you and your partner toward your shared vision. Identify internal and external resources and obstacles that could support or interfere with your goal-achieving process.

 

  • P.M.     Couple’s Exercise 4: Action Planning. Identify the first steps toward your shared goal.

 

 

Day 4: Wrap Up & Departure 

  • 9 a.m.   Review with Sari what has emerged during the retreat. Prepare for potential challenges that may arise after the retreat, and plan for further exploration and increased communication.
